So I switched to Orion a few weeks ago but there are problems with synced tabs. I have commented on an existing issue here: https://orionfeedback.org/d/6523-refresh-loops-page-randomly-reloading/162
But that ticket seems to have been closed for quite some time.
What prompted me to open a new issue (and start a screen recording) here is that after a session on my desktop (Mac Mini M2 Pro), I went to my laptop (MacBook Pro M4) to continue there and noticed that... all the synced tabs were not only duplicated but sometimes present tenfold or more. And not all of them could be closed for some reason. And there were tabs in there that I had long closed or navigated away from throughout the day. When I close some of the tabs, it would close another seemingly at random and then there was another full stack of tabs nested inside another tab somehow that was completely unrelated. Well until I closed that one blank tab (Start Page) that closed ALL other tabs, essentially closing the Orion window.
When I reopened Orion, none of my tabs were open anymore, so I had to go into History and try to find the opened tabs again (of course, I don't remember all of them, hence the syncing feature) and realised that the browsing history is not synced between devices.
Initially, I thought that having both Macs awake at the same time with Orion running causes these issues. It is definitely a contributing factor to these glitches. This time around, the desktop Mac was already asleep, though. Perhaps Orion was still running in the background somehow, I don't know.
This coupled with the constant reloading and glitching of pages that rely heavily on cookies to manage sign-ins and such is the only problem I have with Orion so far. And extensions not saving their settings. I seem to have isolated it to pages where you have an user account and when you navigate to a page that is only accessible when signed in, like a Wishlist on a price comparison site like geizhals.at, Orion kind of freaks out and reloads using the cookie (or no cookie) from iCloud thus breaking the whole thing and causing the website to say that an error occurred. It also happens during signing in to YouTube, or when signing in to a webmail service (like Outlook.com) and trying to type a mail, for example.
I must say, I really like Orion so far as it is just like Safari - but better! So much better! I hope you can find the root of this issue and make it even better!
Do let me know if you need any further information of debug info, etc...
