Kagi makes a big deal about what they call the small web.
I recently came up with an interesting concept that there would be a feature inside the browser, perhaps a button to enable browsing mode which will be the small web browsing mode - where all big tech stuff will be completely blocked, so for example all google services, scripts etc will be blocked and only websites not using them will work.
Of course one can switch to normal browsing any time but its an interesting concept that would mean more privacy and would work well for someone who doesn't need any of those features/services/websites.
It would also teach people about what the differences between small web and big tech and how to live without it, long term it might force more websites to not rely on big tech as well.
I have no idea how easy it is to implement this from technical standpoint but I imagine its basically just a profile with a block list would probably work well, so at least initially it could start as such a preset. Yes, I guess someone could create this manually but it would be nice to have a universal preset that is same for all users - this would support the philosophy above. Perhaps with time it can develop into more than just a profile with blocklist presets.
