Orion Sync Settings across devices

ikah

Making a new ticked as an old one (https://orionfeedback.org/d/10476-orion-sync-settings-across-devices) is marked as closed and doesn't fully incorporate my request.

I would love to see more (all?) settings being synced across devices using Orion's Sync option. Currently setting up Orion on multiple machines is a bit of a hassle. The following settings I have to manually toggle on each machine as I don't like their behavior, even while having the sync feature turned on.

"Link Preview", turned on by default
"Return to last active tab when closing current tab" turned on by default.
"Prevent closing pinned tabs", turned off by default.
"Use Mini Toolbar", turned off by default.

..and probably a lot more. Can all settings be synced across devices?
Besides settings: extentions, apps, passwords, history and autofill would also be a nice addition.

Having a detailed view of what is synced, and the option to sync all settings, or only selected data would be nice. Screenshot is from Vivaldi.

We plan to update the synchronization granularity in the coming months, including for Linux and Windows 👍

Orion is so completely customizable, it’s absolutely daunting and annoying to start over if you got a new phone or needed to reinstall the app for troubleshooting purposes. Allow all settings and customizations in Orion settings to be backed up to iCloud and give the option to restore upon a new install of the iOS app. (Or macOS app).

If Orion gets reinstalled, all settings and extensions get restored. All customization.
