Scrolling down visual glitches (Linux)

When scrolling up or down on many websites, there will be visual glitches sometimes that linger for a second or two. I had to be really quick taking this screenshot. I'm too slow to screenshot it happening on other websites but it happens all the time. Pretty sure I have seen it happen on github.com on gnome web as well so its possibly just a webkit issue. EDIT: I posted videos of this bug in the comments

My display is 144hz with an nvidia graphics card if that has anything to do with it.

Expected website to look normal while scrolling down.

Following up with something similar: When scrolling up and down a page it is jittery and not a smooth experience. I checked this on both the Kagi homepage and APNews. I don't have this issue with Zen Browser. Video below

gustav you inspired me to share a video of my glitch happening scrolling down on a website. Scrolling is a bit choppy for me too sometimes as you can see by the start of the video
also the top bar of github is moving as i scroll?

edit:
also a video of gnome web with this issue (but somehow worse than orion) which means it is most likely a webkitgtk issue
