I am able to reproduce that keyboard input does not work once website settings is open. I wonder is this behavior due to a system setting? @eirk
Yes, this is because I have Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls enabled in System Preferences.

Any thoughts about whether we should still do something about this for people that don't?
For those that don't have this setting enabled, I don't think anything should be added. This system preference was added for those who need/want the accessibility. If you don't have it enabled, then why would you need it to auto focus?
