'Open frame in new tab' doesn't (always ?)work

On this webpage there's, at the bottom of the page, a frame that contains an image.

When I try to open it in a new tab, via 'Open frame in new tab', an empty tab is shown.

Maybe it's only working when it's not an image? I haven't tested that (yet).

I am able to reproduce this issue. Safari works as expected. Using the example in the original report, opening the frame in a new tab should result in a tab with the URL https://nos.nl/widget-embed/wedstrijd?match_id=GN5BHZPRNB4R768
