Tabs Won't Sync Between Mac and iOS

I've seen this issue reported by others and followed the steps in the documentation, but I can't get it to work. iCloud syncing is enabled for both of my devices and when I press the Force Sync button in the iOS app, it says that it fetched over 400 items (I have a lot of tabs I'm trying to bring over), but none of the tabs ever show up in the interface.

I expected the tabs I have open in the Mac version of Orion to show up in the iOS app.

somethingvague Thank you very much for reporting this issue. Are these tabs in a saved / named tab group, or are they in the default tab group (for the window in macOS, for the app as a whole on iOS)?

astruckm They are not in a saved group. They are just the tabs that populate the single Orion window I have on macOS.

somethingvague I see, thank you. When you click on the tab switcher (square button in the bottom toolbar), then click on the tab group switcher (bottom middle button with the name of the current tab group), what do you see?

For example, I can see my synced MacBook there:

When I click on it, I can see the non-saved tab group on my Mac version of Orion. Which of those are missing for you?

somethingvague I see, thanks for the screenshot. I wonder if the Orion dock icon is appearing at the far end of your dock on macOS when you have both the macOS app and iOS apps open?

One thing you can try, besides the things noted in the documentation, is to reset your Orion iCloud app data on the macOS app like so:

If that doesn't help and it still doesn't show up, I will investigate further

astruckm I don't see any additional dock icons when I open Orion on my phone like I do when I open Safari on my phone.

I also tried the reset you mentioned and I still don't see any mention of my laptop's tabs on my phone's app.

astruckm maybe it's also worth mentioning that I don't see the Force Sync button in the Mac version of the app in the Sync tab of the app's settings. That button is pictured in the documentation. I do see Force Sync and Force Fetch buttons in the iOS version, though.

astruckm Here's something that's also peculiar. In the synced devices list on my Mac's Orion, if I clear the list and then click "Force Fetch from iCloud" in the iOS app, my iPhone will show up in the Mac's list, but with 0 tabs. If I then click "Force Sync Local Changes to iCloud" in the iOS app, two more copies of iPhone will show up in the Mac's list, also with 0 tabs. I can clear the list completely and repeat this.

Are you still on version 0.99.133-beta on macOS? Those buttons should be there on the latest version: Orion menu -> Check for Updates...

Regarding the synced iOS device not appearing, and the iPhone duplicating and showing 0 tabs, we will investigate and work on a fix. If I have other suggestions for how you might resolve that from your end, will post here
