Strange behavior when opening a new tab

just updated orion and im having issues opening new tabs. i will post a video because its very difficult to describe what is happening. its like when i open a new tab, some other window intercepts. a window that cant properly be used. but then works as intended if i switch to an existing tab then back to the new tab. sometimes this mystery window looks like the one in the vid, and sometimes like the screenshot i will also attach.

normally, i make a new tab, nothing special happens, i put in my url or tap on my bookmark and the page loads quickly with no problems.

I have experienced this recently as well. To make the tab usable again I usually just go to the tab choosing page and click the tab that I just left. But I'd rather it just load properly than have to reload it like that

I also have this problem constantly, often need to close Orion (RC) and reopen it to continue. Very annoying. It wasn't like this days ago but I changed some settings... Already tried reverting what I remembered but so far nothing new.

discovered a helpful hack for the time being: after the page in the new tab is loaded, instead of switching tabs in the tab menu, start doing the tab swipe gesture. for me, that shows the page immediately and makes it useable.
