A button to reopen closed tabs would be neat, could be added to the new tab button’s context menu.

Kai What exactly would this button do? Any browsers have what you suggest?

      Something like Safari does maybe:

That appears when you long press the plus

Kai Do you want 'Reopen Tab' item in the menu then then opens a full menu of recently open tabs or you want recently open tabs directly listed inside the menu.

What ever works better for your vision of the UI I guess, if there’s some more tab stuff planed in the future it would make more sense to add is as a context menu point to the two already existing ones

I like the idea of reopen to open a dedicated sheet with a list. @michael feel free to chime in

On safari users can long hold the + button to view and open recently closed tabs & Users can also use keyboard shortcut tore-open closed tabs:

Please add this features to Orion. And please don’t forget to add the keyboard shortcut.

in safari, in the tab overview page, you can long hold the + to see the recently closed tabs.

I looked up how to reopen closed tabs in Orion on iOS but the only I found was to shake my phone while the tab menu is opened. I tried shaking but nothing happened, even if that is how to do so, that's a very inelegant solution. I think a better solution to implement what Safari does: when you hold the plus button, it shows a list of all closed tabs.

What does your feature entail? What is it for? How will it affect existing workflows or user experience?
Safari for iOS offers an easy way to select a tab that was closed recently (not necessarily the last one), via a long press on the plus (+) button. Especially handy when you don't remember when you closed the tab (no need to undo multiple tab close actions to find it).

This would also add another option to discover how to undo compared to "shake to undo", which seems to be the only way of undoing a closed tab in Orion right now (and only the most recent one).

What are the exact ways that you see a user using your proposed feature? Please go into as much detail as possible, and provide examples of how other browsers/apps implement this feature, if applicable. If your feature suggestion adds on to an existing feature, how would it work into it to extend its usefulness?

Oneechan69 In fact, there is already an extension on ios that can support this feature, which can list the recently closed tabs, and click to restore the closed tabs. However, it can only display a limited number of 12, and there are some compatibility issues with the display. But the feature works fine!
