On iOS/iPadOS the Orion browser has a habit of randomly sharing either the URL or “Page Title URL”. This often leads to annoyance when just wishing to share the link, or breaking of Shortcut actions when a URL is expected but a dictionary is provided instead. Some apps parse this output, but many do not. I think this also affects some other share data, such as trying to share images or files, as when I’ve attempted to setup Shortcuts taking images, Orion provides more than just an image but it doesn’t know it’s not 2 images but a string and an image (possibly limitation of image use in dictionary vs albums).
This happens due to past suggestions of some wanting this extra data to share to some apps. It’d be nice if we could have a setting toggle that allows the user to strictly limit any data shared to just the URL/files being shared without page titles or extra text. That way those that want the extra flourishes can, and others can have this work more inline with how Safari and other browsers have tended to handle share sheet data.
