I’m using a BetterTouchTool shortcut that gives me a shortcut for “open link in a new tab,” and I’m running Orion in compact tab mode with, uh, a tab count that would probably get me flagged by the UN.
The problem: when I middle-click a link, nothing happens visually. The tab bar remains as expressionless as a soviet monument.
This becomes mildly tragic because some links simply don’t open via middle-click. And since Orion gives zero feedback, I end up sitting there like a deranged lab rat, middle-clicking the same link 20 times, waiting for a reward that never comes.
Compare: Chrome, which at least tosses a tiny animation into your peripheral vision so you know a new tab spawned and you’re not losing your grip on linear time.
expected: any sign that a new tab was created.
