Opening links from the Start Page sometimes results in a blank about:blank page

When i visit website from the home menu (start page) i get about:blank page need to close the tab and re-open it to load, also on youtube ads load for 2-3 seconds before they disappear and video play, this wasnt a problem before i updated my phone.

I expect the website to load, i need to basically close the tab and open it again, and i expect no ads when videos play.

Hey! I renamed your submission to be about the about:blank issue. I have encountered it as well. It is somewhat common but not 100% consistently reproducible.

BonoGary also on youtube ads load for 2-3 seconds before they disappear and video play,

please create a separate bug report about this

When tapping favorites link on new tab pages, sometimes it opens blank page instead of the link. I don’t know how to reproduce the bug so you may not be able to reproduce but it definitely happens.

It should open the link every time.

Have you noted if this happens predominantly at or just after startup, or at any time?
Does it open a new tab with about:blank in the address bar, or an empty address bar?

If you know how to reproduce this issue, would you be able to share a screen recording of you reprodcuing this issue?

Unfortunately I have no idea when this happens but it feels like I have this bug most often after starting the app, or when I make lots of operations in a short time and place a load on cpu.

When this happens, the tab doesn’t load the url of the shortcut I tapped and display “about blank” and completely stops working if I tap the reload button.

I'm also experiencing this 'about:blank' issue on a daily basis. As with the other reporter, I haven't found a way to consistently reproduce this.

Here are my environment details:

iPhone SE 2nd Generation
iOS 26.2

I had this issue sometimes for a while. But randomly and without really having enough to go on to open a ticket.
It fixed since this update. Thank you so much for your work 🙏
