Input text not showing in address bar in private window

With the latest update (0.99.137), I am having an issue when using private browsing window. Then I click into the address bar and start typing, the letters im typing don't display. The letters are being entered into the address bar because if you press enter it performs the search but when you are typing in the address bar the letter dont show.

I expected to be able to see the text in the address bar as I am typing it

I'm wondering now if this bug is related to either https://orionfeedback.org/d/12248-toolbar-ui-fails-to-properly-adapt-to-system-appearance-changes or https://orionfeedback.org/d/12217-light-mode-in-macos-not-correctly-supported-in-latest-version, since I just noticed that the text in private window address bars appears for me now after I manually switched over to dark mode and restarted the browser.

I just discovered this. If I blindly type, try the website and nothing loads, I then click into the address field and see the address I actually typed with the errors. If I then try to edit the address to fix the error, the address goes out of view again.

This is a serious usability bug that will hopefully be fixed soon.

can't read the URL unless highlighting it.
no issue on dark theme.
please fix.

Hey! This will be fixed in the next release. Is this occurring on regular tabs or only with private browsing tabs?

laiz happens on private tab. I didnt check the regular tab.
Temp workaround is to manually set the theme to dark, but if you open a new tab in a new separate window then the dark theme still would set the address bar to be white text on white bar.

It looks like this is happening when Orion theme is set to dark and system theme is light when Orion is launched. Workaround seems to be set system theme to dark when launching Orion. After Orion is launched, system theme changes do not affect toolbar theme if Orion settings has theme as "dark"...

@orionknight @OrangeSoda the latest RC should already have this fix. It will come to beta soon (next week is planned for now, but can't make promises on the release timeline because we want to make sure that we are testing properly).
