Mute/unmute icon isn't automatically changed in the tab

the mute/unmute icon in the tab isn't automatically changed, while the one in the address bar is.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to a website that plays audio, eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
2. Click the mic icon on the tab itself
3. observe that it also toggles the mic icon in the address bar
4. Click the mic icon in the address bar
5. Observe that the mic icon does not change
6. Hove over the icon, and observe that the mic icon then changes

Expected behavior:
The mic icon in the tab should automatically change when the address bar icon is clicked.
