This report is for the iPadOS app when using a hardware bluetooth keyboard.
There are already a few open issues about escape not working when the address bar is focused. That still seems to be an issue, but my bug report is for a separate issue (but maybe the same root cause):
When the page is focused, pressing escape doesn't seem to generate a keypress event. If an input on the page is focused, like a text field, pressing escape doesn't blur the input. If a page has an event handler listening for escape to e.g. close a modal dialog, pressing escape does nothing.
Pressing escape while the page is focused should properly dispatch key-related events to the page.
