This bug/behaviour started about a couple of months ago, before that I didn't see any ad on youtube, and it's not all the time (but still most).
Most of the time the ads aren't blocked, so I see the first few frames, then a black screen for several seconds, then a second ads with the same behaviour, and finally the video starts/resume
And on some rare instances, the video doesn't resume (clicking pause then play will resume it) or doesn't have sound.
Also, opening the link directly seems less likely to have ads (if at all) compared to clicking on a thumbnail.
