Hi Roxy. I just tested Chrome, Firefox, and Safari with automatic HTTPS upgrade turned on. All three of them warn me that the site is insecure and offer to display it anyway -- just like Orion. The main difference is, if I say to display it anyway, the site is shown correctly, instead of showing the error message that the domain does not exist. Orion should react to the error message by reverting to HTTP, not by displaying the message itself.
The other difference is that upgrading is not the default setting of these other browsers, so no one will get caught by the warning without knowing what to do. There are LOADS of old, amateur or semi-pro sites like mine around the Internet that are perfectly safe without HTTPS, because they do not request any sensitive information. They will never have HTTPS, because it's expensive and tricky to maintain, and these sites are free. You are basically discouraging people from viewing any sites but those that make money off them.
