So slow now, what has happened?

I'm running orion on Macbookpro M1, and it is so clunky and slow now. what has happened?

I'm runining 15.6.1 (24G90)

Please provide steps to reproduce the problem you are seeing from a clean Orion profile.

It doesn't happen on a "clean" profile, so I think I'll just start from there.
