- My phone is connected to wi-fi. I've added an news article to my reading list.
- I bring up the reading list pane. I long press the article and choose 'Save Offline'
- I don't get any visual indication that anything's happened, but for the avoidance of doubt I wait for 30+ seconds.
- I activate Airplane mode.
- I open a new Orion tab.
- Open the reading list pane again.
- View the article.
- I see "You are not connected to the internet. This page can't be displayed because your device is currently offline." - the URL is file:///var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/BC065FCE-FD79-4CC6-9923-AFA49F37AD3E/Library/Application%20Support/Orion/ReadingListArchives/64E98A77-A42A-42B4-8816-4CDAD2EF5F89/Page.webarchive
I've tried a few different pages, including very simple ones like text-only news from lite.cnn.com
I will say I've never had much success with offline reading list in Safari either. It's a feature I'd really like to get working. Thanks!
- Being able to view the article (obviously)
- Should there be some sort of visual indication in the list that the item is saved? (Although if I long press it again, the menu has changed to 'Don't tave')
