Some tabs disappear when moving between saved windows

I have 3-5 saved windows at a time, some with ₂₀ tabs open. Yesterday and today I have been reorganizing them, and I found that on occasion, after moving one or more tabs from Window A to Window B, when I Switch back to Window A, several of the remaining tabs are just gone. They're not in any window, nor are they in recently closed tabs. I don't even know how many were affected - in one case it was probably 10+ at once.

Tabs should not disappear from a window unless closed or moved.

Hey @charcole, thanks for the report. Is this weird behavior with the tabs something that you can consistently reproduce?

I did the following steps, but wasn't able to see the behavior you mentioned:

Create multiple windows and add several tabs in each.
Open two different windows side by side (with vertical tabs).
From the vertical tabs sidebar, drag a tab to the other window.
Notice that the tab is now moved to the other window, and remaining tabs in the old window are all intact.

^ Tried various combinations of this, but wasn't able to run into the bug you described. Are there any more reproduction steps that you could provide please? (A screen recording of it happening would be super helpful if you can manage to capture it).

Also, did the tabs stay permanently disappeared? Can you please try quitting and reopening Orion to check if the disappeared tabs come back?

Hi akshatpatel, I haven't found a consistently reproducible scenario but I can mess around and try to find one.

It definitely still happens - earlier today I right-clicked to move a tab to "New Window" and it just vanished. no new window opened. I tried with 2 more tabs and the same thing happened. (I could have recorded this but don't want to risk showing any sensitive information.) For a little more context, each of the tabs that vanished today was some Atlassian web app.

So I'll open some new windows and see if I can reproduce this with regular sites.

EDIT: Oh, this was before I upgraded though. Maybe it's resolved in the new version.

EDIT 2: Slightly more information, possibly only making this harder to diagnose: While minimizing my Orion window just now, I found a second window behind it, which was on one of the pages I previously "sent" - but didn't have that tab in the tab list. Sorry, I don't really know how a screenshot could be helpful here, especially as I'd have to redact the URL and tab content.
