When I use the New Tab Feature I experience several issues:
- Random Tab showing upon loading a new tab
- The Group the new tab is nested in isn't opened automatically
- The tab I switched to isn't highlighted
- Open in New Tab is directly opening (in other browsers you don't switch to the tab directly, instead you can choose to open it at a later time)
- I had to click the opened tab to open the sidebar again
The last two are especially annoying and cause me to be irritated while finding my tabs.
To Reproduce:
- Open a new tab
- Use Open In New tab
- switch to parent tab, close nested tabs
- Use Open in New tab
(Issue should occur on 2 and 4)
Open New Tab is considered to not directly switch to the desired tab, instead the user may open several other tabs before exploring the nested tabs.
However I do see this feature being useful in rare occasions (Directly open in New Tab)
I do want to not nest tabs in a lot of occasions while using this feature (max depth level, Add as New Tab)
Too much nesting hurts usability.
