On MacOS 26, when set to the default browser, webviewer opened for links

On MacOS 26 Beta (I am on the latest release) when I set Orion as the default browser and then click on links in other apps (ChatGPT, Mail, Outlook, Word, etc) it opens a chromeless temporary webviewer pop-up.

To make sure this wasn't an artifact of the beta nature of the OS, I changed my default to Safari, Mulvad Browser, and Chrome. in all cases they opened to the expected browser set as default as expected.

When I click a web link in an application I expect it to open in the default browser, in this case, Orion..

Hey! Could you share a screenshot of this?
Based on your description, it sounds like you are describing Orion's Link Preview feature.

You can configure its behavior in Orion settings → Browsing → Link Preview

That did it. I don't recall clicking that. Is it on by default? It might make sense to not have it checked by default if that is the case since no other browser has that default behavior.

It is on by default, and the first time the user activates the feature there should be a banner on the preview window that informs the user what it is. If you have any ideas for improving this, please let us know!

Not directly relevant, but I really like using Velja [https://sindresorhus.com/velja]. It allows me to easily and quickly change the default browser from the menu bar.
