When opening a new tab (by swiping address bar to left) and instantly tapping on the address bar, submitting a search query or going to a URL does not do anything.
Notably: As you can see in the video, there is no margin between the current new tab and the last open tab to the left. This missing margin indicates that the search bug is currently happening. Also, the Favorites/Library content is jiggling.
On the same, broken tab, entering a query or URL again works.
Reproduction
- Have 1 tab open
- Swipe address bar to left to open a new tab
- Instantly tap on the empty address bar
- Type in a search query oder website URL
- Press submit
Observation
- The address bar will be cleared after pressing submit
- The page will not change, you will not get sent to the Kagi search results
- There is no margin between the current tab and last tab to the left in the address bar
- The Favorites/Library UI is moving up and down as seen in the attached video
Tapping the address bar quickly when opening a new tab should not lead to that tab being unable to redirect to search results or a website.
