ChatGPT favicon doesn't display

When visiting chatgpt.com, no favicon is displayed in the tab:

Also, when adding that website to the bookmarks bar, a generic favicon is used:

The chatgpt.com HTML has these (and the URL's are all valid):

In the Network tab, I can see Orion RC downloaded these files:

They show in sources as well:

For comparison, on Safari 18.6, it doesn't show the favicon in the tab either but when I drag the URL to the bookmarks bar, the bookmark does have the correct favicon (and the open tab immediately updates with the icon too).

I have noticed the same happens with https://web.whatsapp.com and https://web.telegram.org -- all kind of heavy web apps.

Thank you for the exhaustive report!

I tried reproducing the issue, but favicons are showing as expected on all sites mentioned.

Could you try clearing the browser cache and seeing if that does anything @gtirloni ? Additionally, could you see if a fresh Orion profile fails to display the favicons as well?

A new empty profile didn't help but cleaning the cache fixed it, thanks for the tip! Let me know if you need any debugging data (but I don't know how to reproduce it anymore since cleaning the cache).

These bookmarks were initially created by importing an export from Firefox, in case that helps to figure out what went bad.
