Taping on web links opens new tab on iPad 10.9, A13 chip.

On the Orion browser for iPad OS, every time I tap an element that’s a link, a new tab is opened. This happens even on Kagi search, when I tap a result, it opens in a new tab in the background. On the Warvy Parker website, moving between tabs in the UI causes a new page to open in the background, instead of loading on my current tab.

When I tap on a link or tab, I expect it to change on my current tab, not open one in the background.

That indeed does sound like an annoying bug. If possible, would you be able to tell how long this has been happening?

While your description of the bug is quite exhaustive, a video of you reproducing the bug would still be very helpful.

Yes please, a video recording of the bug in action would be helpful, also knowing if you have any extensions installed, and if you have any settings you think could cause this?

And I have Ublock Origin as the only extension installed. And I’m on the public beta for iPad so 26, but had the issue previously.

One more question, do you see this behaviour only on Kagi search results, or on all links on the web?
I'm asking because there's a specific settings in Kagi account preferences for this:
