I often visit websites with a lot of hyperlinks, and want to read several of them (e.g. on Hacker News or a blogroll page). My usual workflow is to hold CMD and click everything I want to open in a new inactive tab behind the active tab, creating a tree with vertical tabs which I can then work through. Sometimes, however, for whatever reason I don't click all the way (or hard enough), so the new tab doesn't open as expected. The issue is that in Orion currently, there's no visual feedback to indicate that a new tab opened (or didn't).
Thus, similar to using SHIFT-CMD-C to copy a page URL (which displays "Copied Page URL" in the address bar), please add a feature that when CMD-clicking a link to open in new tab, "Link Opened in New Tab" appears briefly in the address bar (or some other visual, like a small popup in the corner of the viewport, etc.).
When opening links behind the active one, it would be useful and remove a little friction to know that something actually happened.
Arc had a good version of this, where when opening in a new tab (inactive), a small popup would appear in the upper right corner of the viewport, to the effect of "Opened in New Tab". However, I personally like the SHIFT-CMD-C version in Orion, where text appears in the address bar. It's an elegant solution and not super distracting, just visible enough that you know something happened.
Thank you for considering!
