The "LanguageTool" extension does not work as expected on Mastodon (and maybe other sites)

Summary:
The “LanguageTool” extension installs correctly, I'm able to log in, and it even marks found errors when entering text (see attached image using a Mastodon “create new toot” text entry as an example), but the secondary controls/hover don't show up. They DO work on this site, though. This is the first site I saw them working (when filing this report).

Steps to reproduce:

Open any Mastodon web interface in Orion 0.99.134.1-rc
Log in
Start to compose a new message or reply
Errors/suggestions are marked, but no further control elements show up

Additional Info:
These problems occur when using the Firefox extension (via “Popular Extensions...”) AND using the Chrome extension after enabling Chrome extensions in settings. They show the same behavior. Tested with LanguageTool 8.21.1 on Mastodon 4.3.9 and 4.4.1

Expected Behavior:
I expect the controls to show up and work; see screenshots from Safari, same site:

@trurl Thanks for taking the time to reporting this. You are right that the controls doesn't work, however I went to check this extension in chrome and safari and it looks that it doesn't work there either, so I think the problem in extention itselft.

Since it's an open-source extension I'd suggest opening an issue at theier GitHub - https://github.com/languagetool-org/languagetool.

For now there's nothing we can do to fix it unfortunately, so I'm marking this as NoFix.
