This bug only happens on Google Slides. It does not occur on google docs.

Steps to reproduce:
requirements: a google account

  1. Go to system preferences->Keyboard->Shortcuts->App Shortcuts. Click the plus button and put in Paste and Match Style in the textbox, and make the shortcut as cmd-shift-v, or anything you want.
  2. Have some formatted text in your clipboard. You can download this file, open it in TextEdit, and copy the contents: https://dsh.re/87548
  3. Go to https://slides.new to create a new Google Slides
  4. Attempt to paste and match style, by doing cmd-shift-v, or whatever shortcut you set. Observe nothing happening.
  5. From the menu bar, click Edit->Paste and Match Style and observe that it works fine.

Expected behavior:
the shortcut should paste the text and match the style.◊
