I’ve been using the browser regularly and really appreciate its clean, user-friendly interface and powerful tab management. Features like focus mode and extension support from Chrome and Firefox are genuinely impressive. However, I’ve encountered several issues that I’d like to report, in the hope that they can be addressed in future updates:
Bugs & Issues
- Tab Lag on Opening
- There’s a noticeable delay when opening new tabs. The browser feels slightly unresponsive during this action, which affects the overall user experience.
- OCR Lag on Image-Heavy Pages
- When loading pages with many photos, the browser lags — seemingly due to the OCR process. It would be great if OCR ran more efficiently or could be toggled off when not needed.
- Private Mode Session Wipe
- Every time I close a private tab, the entire session gets deleted. This makes it inconvenient for users who expect session continuity until the browser is fully closed.
- Bookmark Icons Missing After Import
- After importing bookmarks from Google Chrome, many favicons are missing—but only for bookmarks placed inside folders. Those directly on the bookmarks bar display fine. Even opening the bookmarked site doesn't always refresh the icon.
- Chrome Extensions Icons Glitch
- Some Chrome extension icons disappear and then reappear randomly. This happens after installing or updating extensions.
- Kagi Translator Inconsistency
- The Kagi translator fails to work on certain pages, particularly those that require login/authentication. It would be helpful if this behavior were more consistent or if error messaging were clearer.
- No Option to Disable Transparent Top Bar in Fullscreen
- When in fullscreen mode, the transparent top bar sometimes becomes distracting — especially on image-rich sites. A toggle to disable transparency would improve readability and focus.
- Tabs should open without lag.
- OCR should not affect performance or should have a manual toggle.
- Private sessions should persist until the entire browser window is closed, not per tab.
- Bookmark icons should display correctly after import, even within folders.
- Extension icons should remain visible consistently.
- The Kagi translator should function reliably across all page types.
- There should be a checkbox or toggle to disable top bar transparency in fullscreen mode.
