Redirects or link changes do not properly clear state

This happens in a lot of ways.

I assume it has to do with JS based changes to the location for instance cloudflare's WAF check page which then redirects to the real page.

When clicking certain links or opening pages which perform a lot of redirects I sometimes need to copy the link and make a new tab to actually see that page. It looks like actually the page is somehow loading and the URL bar says it is finished and loaded, but the page is the previous page.

This happens when:

Chase Travel Portal: going from checkout page back to home page
Clicking link in kickstarter email with redirect
Visiting kagi.com searches or doing a search from an existing tab

This MIGHT be related to the Leechblock extension which probably does something to the loading of pages. But I am not sure.

There is never weird mixed state from a previous page load affecting the next page and clicking links or changing the current location always loads that new page when it should.

Example of the problem related to clicking link in kickstarter email.

I have Gmail in a pinned tab. I clicked a link in an email which opened a new tab to Google.com and the page simply "loads" but the page is empty.

I opened dev tools and this is what I see, seems it might be related to an extension (LeechBlock seems a primary contender for the source of problems)

Refreshing the page does not fix things. I assume its getting the same error.

Actually crazy enough, clicking the link again with LeechBlock disabled (but browser not restarted) leads to the same behavior.

Some more dev tools output. This is a new tab with a new click on the link in Gmail.

(No Console errors)

(Sources view. Request and content seems fine. No exceptions like before)

(Network requests seem fine)

With LeechBlock disabled refreshing the page does take to the page it was trying to redirect to.

I'm more convinced that the issue is something to do with new tabs and how JS does the redirect. Maybe there is a bad interaction with an extension like uBlock?
