Steps to reproduce:
- Install the extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/arxiv-utils/
- Visit an arxiv.org page, e.g. https://arxiv.org/abs/2112.15594
- Notice that Direct Download is missing from the Download section in the right column.
- Open an arxiv .pdf file in Orion, e.g. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2112.15594
- Notice that the arxiv-utils toolbar icon is unclickable (always greyed-out).
Expected behavior:
- When visiting an arxiv.org page, users should see a Direct Download link in the Download section.
- When clicking Direct Download, the arxiv .pdf is saved with a meaningful filename instead of the DOI (e.g. “2112.15594.pdf”).
- When an arxiv .pdf file is open, the extension toolbar icon becomes clickable.
- When it is clicked, the associated arxiv.org page is opened (e.g. https://arxiv.org/abs/2112.15594).
