If you use CMD-t to open a new tab, Orion will switch to the new tab and focus is immediately sent to the “omnibar” to enter a search or type/paste a URL, as expected. However, after the search or URL in input and the return key is hit, that input is sent to the previously active tab and the new tab is left empty.
This does not happen on Safari. I get the expected behaviour on Safari: CMD-T to open new tab, text entry causes navigation to occur on the new and active tab.
This only occurs with a hardware keyboard (tested with iPad Magic Keyboard only so far). This does not happen in Orion when hitting the ‘+’ new tab button, however using this method does not immediately start text entry in the ‘omnibar’.
After opening a new tab with CMD-t, that new tab should navigate to the entered location or search.
