Latest plans for legacy macOS versions support?

I am curious the plans for continued support of Orion on legacy macOS versions such Mojave (10.14) or Monterey (12)?

I had to focus on some other things since October but recently noticed that the latest versions of Orion for Mojave - Ventura are not receiving the WebKit updates. Orion 129's release notes listed "Latest WebKit 621.1.2.111.4 [RC Only]" but I didn't see the new WebKit on my RC version of Orion running on an older macOS version. At the time I assumed my older macOS systems would just get the newer WebKit at a later date like in the past.

However, that didn't seem to come with more recent Orion updates and I just noticed the release notes for Orion 133 said, "Latest WebKit 622.1.9.19.2 (macOS 14+)". Is the plan now to never update the WebKit version included in any Orion for macOS prior to Sonoma?

Would be great to understand plans for Orion on these older macOS. There are still known bugs for Orion on Mojave. Additionally, limitations like no WebP on Mojave or Catalina.

Understand if the focus is going to be on Sonoma - Tahoe going forward though that's likely going to leave me behind.

Any news you can share on this issue?

Also, if the plan is to drop support for macOS prior to V.14, any thoughts about open sourcing at least all the work the team did to port WebKit through 619.x all the way back to macOS Mojave?

Kagi recently posted on their socials that they are not only planning to continue supporting Mojave but also to port Orion back as far as High Sierra.

Dustin This is great news and thanks for highlighting. I am for better or worse not on the socials...in any case I heard about those plans in the past and glad to hear that is still the commitment.

bzgnyc I'm with you on the socials. I just plug a few important accounts into my regular old RSS reader for updates rather than wade into the swamp that is social media.
