PDF View: Search Matches Extremely Hard to Spot

View any PDF file (with white background) in Orion, and try searching for a word (CMD-F). The highlight color appears to be a very pale mint-ish green that is very hard to spot to the point it's aggravating.

Here I search for the word "option", the highlight is almost imperceptible:

We can very clearly make out the found occurrences of "option".

Orion's color choice in PDFs is also inconsistent with searching for text on a html page:

There should be at least a better color choice in the PDF viewer, ideally the same as in the text search for websites.
I quite like how the text search on a website makes the whole canvas darker except for the found text occurrences.
Hopefully, and ideally, we can have exactly the same behavior and style for PDFs.

I came here to report this too. I think it is a bug because I see a very faint gray that is impossible to see unless I already know where the text is that I am searching for, making search inside a PDF useless. I need to use another browser for this. The highlight certainly should be color, not black and white, and ideally it should be set in preferences (possibly piggy-backing on search highlight for html pages).

I actually thought PDF search was totally broken, but I searched for "Acknowledgements" in a PDF while looking at the word. If you focus your eyes on DTRA in this snippet, the highlight is invisible in your peripheral vision. Zoom out to see a whole page and it gets even harder to see.

Note that using either Command-F or the Magnifying Glass icon in the PDF viewer toolbar for a text search results in the impossible-to-use highlighting of the text you searched for.

I have found that using the Orion menubar to select Edit - Find - Find dims the PDF and provides a usable highlight of the search text. It seems that sometimes I can use Edit - Find - Find but not always. Sometimes Orion will get into a mode where Edit - Find - Find does not reveal the Orion searchbar above the PDF viewer.

It would be good if all three methods for conducting a text search in a PDF (Command-F, Magnifying Glass in the PDF Viewer toolbar, and Edit - Find - Find from the Orion menubar) provided the same experience and resulted in readable text highlighting.

I don't know anything about pdf.js, but a quick Kagi search reveals that there apparently are configuration settings for the coloration of search text.
