I'm writing to report a bug concerning Orion Browser's interaction with the Autoraise application.
Autoraise is a utility that allows windows to be activated simply by hovering the mouse over them. It also has an important feature that allows users to activate a window without bringing it to the foreground (i.e., "raising" it). This setting is crucial for workflows where users want to interact with a window without it obscuring other content like pop-ups or notifications.
The issue is that when Autoraise is enabled, Orion Browser windows correctly activate upon hover. However, even when the Autoraise setting to not raise windows is active, Orion windows are still forced to the foreground. This behavior causes significant inconvenience, as it can hide important pop-ups or other small windows underneath the Orion browser window, disrupting my workflow.
I've consulted with the developer of Autoraise, and they've indicated that this issue is not on their side, but rather something that needs to be addressed by individual applications. They stated that it's difficult for them to resolve this from the Autoraise side.
Could you please investigate this matter? Properly respecting the "do not raise" setting in Autoraise would greatly improve the user experience for those who rely on this functionality.
I expect Autoraise to function correctly with Orion Browser. Specifically, when the "do not raise window" option is enabled in Autoraise, Orion Browser windows should activate on hover without being forcibly brought to the foreground.
