Search should be focused on new tab, even on homepage.

When using most of the options for new tabs, the search bar is focused. However, when using homepage for new tabs, either a website or a custom HTML file, the search bar is not focused when new tab is selected. It would be great if this was default or an option.

I would like to use a website or custom HTML for my new tab, but when I do the search bar is a click away and slows me down considerably. This makes it not viable to use Homepage as new tab. Adding this would make using Homepage as fast as the other new tab options when searching.

I think the thought behind this is that search engine homepages typically already do this by themselves. I could see it being nice as an option, though.

Wait... If I set, for example, Kagi.com as the homepage (just a random example), the focus is automatically placed on the search and not on the location bar... That's what you're suggesting, right?

Yannick yes I think there should be an option to focus the browser location bar instead of any search bars on the site itself.
