Anyway, the way it works is that they put a lot of effort into making switching between windows extremely easy. For example a scroll left or right while hovering over the sidebar would switch the window. Same story for a swipe on the trackpad, or a middle mouse scroll. The animation is such that it gives the user assurance of what is going on, and it is realtime, so that the user can easily change their mind mid-way and turn back. Wach window’s sidebar MAY have a separate bg colour, assisting with visual recognition of what it is used for, without having to read or look at the icon.
