PDF opens in new tab

As of right now, draging in a PDF file onto a tab/window replaces that tab with the PDF. At least I can't find an option in the settings.

In, for example, Brave dragging in a PDF onto an existing tab, will open a new tab containing the pdf instead of replacing the one on which the PDF was draged upon. Would be great if this was an option in Orion.

But why would you want to open a new tab? If I open a tab, it's to drag a document or an image into it; I wouldn't want that to open a new tab.
Convince me otherwise 🙂

I meant that if I have some existing tab with whatever webpage open and I drag a pdf on top of it, I think it would be intuitive that the pdf opens in a new tab rather than replaces that existing one. Otherwise it is just one extra step of opening a new tab and then only dragging a pdf onto it.
Might not be intuitive for some people, but I think it should at least be an option, since it is that way on other browsers.

I understand your need, but we can't add options for every possible behavior either 😅

Safari's current behaviour is that if you drag a PDF or other file over to the New Tab button, it will open that file in a new tab. If Orion did this, I think this would more or less do what @GitGutOrio is asking for while also adding a small missing Safari feature.
