As part of trying to move off of Firefox, I imported almost 200k bookmarks.
(Congrats to the Orion team on actually importing them! It did take over 4 hours but it worked!)
Here are some issues though:
- Searching this amount of bookmarks is extremely slow and freezes the UI for a period of time (SBOD). Ideally there'd be some optimizations done to how search works, and it would be done on a separate thread. Firefox is significantly faster at searching this amount of bookmarks.
- Tags don't seem to be a feature of Orion bookmarks, which is upsetting. Orion did import the tags as a bunch of folders under
Firefox bookmarks > Tags for some reason... which isn't very useful. Tags are an essential bookmarking feature for finding bookmarks in the future. Ideally Orion would import and preserve Firefox's tags as Orion tags.
