CMD+Shift = do oppositve of CMD should also apply to bookmarks

This feature works for links on a website, in my case, CMD+Click opens on a new tab and CMD+Shift+Click opens the new tab and makes it active.

This doesn't work for bookmarks on my bookmarks bar or on my bookmarks sidebar.

I would love to have this since im constantly opening new tabs from my bookmarks and now i have to CMD+click and then Ctrl+Tab to switch to it or open the sidebar to find it.

I can suggest adding what Vivaldi does, CMD+Option+Click on a bookmark opens it on the current active tab
