Similar to desktop browsers, users on mobile should be allowed to rearrange the toolbar items as needed. This setting could be called “Customize Toolbar” and the option would be placed in settings by autofill and gestures. Upon opening the menu, users would be presented with a UI similar to the attached mockup. (although a lot more polished) The user can drag any of the menu options between the toolbar and overflow menu. I know there are a few edge cases this design doesn’t address, but I am open to feedback.

      Brief Summary
The share button being on the left makes it hard to reach. I always have to take my right hand off to be able to reach the share button.

      2 Alternate ideas:

      • Add the recent functionality for the user to rearrange the toolbar. I believe that was added as a possibility in iOS 15 or something? Not sure.
      • Make it possible for the user to move the tab bar to the bottom like in Safari. I’m honestly not entirely sure about this one, but I do want this for other reasons. Just not sure if it would be what you want for Orion.

User should have the option to rearrange symbols/buttons on address bar.

I can not stand anymore the settings button being in the most used place to switch tabs. Let us choose or move it elsewhere. You only used it a few times a month not daily like the tab button.

People will like it more then accidentally pressing it a few times or putting effort to move a few spaces.

I agree. This annoys me (a bit).

I know this is a request for iOS, but I don’t know where else to put it. iPadOS supports customize toolbars natively. However, I don’t know why they don’t do it with Safari, so here’s an example from Numbers.

That customization ability looks pretty similar to how a lot of macos apps have a customize toolbar ability (i do realize this post is for ios)

Just like how the desktop version of Orion supports moving around the buttons at the top on the toolbar it would be awesome if we could change the positon of the various buttons at the bottom on the toolbar on the iOS version of Orion. Specifically the new tab button I would rather have in the centre with the share button instead on the left. If this is actually possible already feel free to let me know.

AshwinPaudel I'm actually not a fan of the idea. I think it belongs on the toolbar on the bottom. Hiding it away in the tab overview wouldn't work, because it introduces and extra step to bring up that menu (which holds more than just settings, by the way). I personally would not want to open the tab overview each time I need to access that menu.

It would be very nice to have a Safari like layout like shown in the picture

Just be able to hide the settings button or move it as personally I find it in a annoying position

ajgraves personally it’s very annoying coming from safari and accidentally clicking the settings button thing instead of the group thing

Tbh switching positions would be enough
