I woke up today, and all of my windows are gone!

I am not sure what I did. I do know that I have both your RC and beta app installed. I accidentally opened up the beta version while I was had the RC version open. Then I closed it.

I don't think I did anything else. It would very helpful to retrieve my saved windows! I know other people have report this issue.

My expectation is that my saved windows don't get lost.

Version 0.99.132.2-rc (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)

    Grateful_Guitar can you please share little more details to help us understand the issue?

    • Orion version for beta?
    • When you last time open the beta?
    • is both are Default profiles?
    • Is sync is enbled?

    In the mean time you can try restoring your windows by:

    • opening /Users/<username>/Library/Application\ Support/Orion\ RC/Defaults/bk_132.2/ directory,
    • show hidden files by cmd+shift+.,
    • move .local_named_windows.plist file to /Users/<username>/Library/Application\ Support/Orion\ RC/Defaults/,
    • and relaunch Orion RC.

    Please let us know if you are able to get your saved windows back/

        Beta version:

        • Opened beta yesterday (RC was probably already open)
        • Both were default profiles
        • Sync is enabled
        • I tried your steps to restore my windows. It was partially successful. 4 of 5 windows were restored and they were old versions. I will survive the inconvenience of re-setting up again.
        • I suppose I should delete the beta version if I am using the RC version, yes?

            No, it's not needed, as the bug is on our end, and we will look into all possibilities to fix that.

            One more question, is there any chance that we used Beta 132.0.2 or RC 132.1.1? as we had a bug in those versions related to saved window and we reverted those in a few hours of release (release date was 1st April)

                dino Hi Dino, it is unlikely I used those versions since I am pretty on top of installing new releases as soon as possible. If you think it is fixed, perhaps we can close this until someone else reports an issue.....perhaps just my bad luck.
