When "Show full website address" is disabled in Preferences, it could be a nice, subtle tweak to show the full URL on hover.
This would afford a simple 'gesture' for checking a page URL without having to actually click into the field, and would work along side (i.e. same principle as) https://orionfeedback.org/d/1070-hover-active-tab-when-tab-bar-hidden-to-show-page-title
i.e. for a single window, with Tab Bar hidden and "Show full website address" disabled, I could hover the Address to both see the page title and full URL when I need them but otherwise keep the UI as minimalist and 'quiet' as possible.
