Add 1 more option to the tab layout silimar to classic Chrome/Firefox:
Tab 1 | Tab 2 | .... |Tab n
Address bar | tools/extensions
I belive that many other users like me, come from Chrome/Firefox, would prefer a familiar look and field and also ease the migration curves
Hey, I completely understand your request, but we chose to stay as close as possible to what Safari does in order not to disrupt the habits of its users. It was a tough decision 
I mean it's just another options for people to make choice though
Aren't there already exist some not-so-close to safary layout like vertical tab
I can understand if the feature would need more work to do (I'm a software developer too)
