I couldn't find any documentation about the Element Eraser syntax but it looks like basic CSS selectors at first sight.
I suggest the support of wildcard extension so I can remove all "buttons" using a specific class. I tried that on a Media and Dokuwiki page where I want to remove the section edit buttons for myself.
E.g.: [class~='editbutton_section']
