There should be a way to disable certain keyboard shortcuts, similar to how you can with gestures. Some users (like me) don't use these shortcuts, and having them available makes it possible to accidentally trigger destructive shortcuts, such as closing the current tab.
If a user doesn't use keyboard shortcuts, they may disable all of them, or just the destructive ones, in the settings page. The settings could be in a similar format to the gestures settings, with each one either being customizable with an option to disable it, or just each one has a switch that toggles it.
