YouTube scroll not working on video page

When i watch a video in youtube, the scroll locks. This only happens on the video page, so you cant scroll down to read the comments. The scroll is fine on the Youtube home page. It's just happening when i watch a video.

I expected it to scroll as normal

Same issue, just can't scroll at all unless I turn on compatability mode. Can't get down to the comments.

I am also having this issue. I made a screen recording but I honestly don't know how it can be helpful. I'm doing a scrolling motion on my trackpad and the page is as if it's static, video will play, you cannot scroll. Even the down key has no effect.

FWIW, I'm also experiencing this problem. However, if I enable and then disable Fullscreen on the video (even while paused) I can recover the ability to scroll on the youtube video page. This workaround will persist until I reload the page, at which point page scroll is locked again.

I also have the same issue in iOS.

In the attached video I’m trying to scroll forward in the video and it doesn’t work (while double tapping does).

Just want to share that I'm having the same problem on chrome. (I just came across this post while searching for a solution. I don't even use orion.)
I found a workaround. Hope it works for you too.

Clike the "≡" on the top left to show the menu.
Click anywhere else on the page to hide the menu again. (Clicking "≡" to hide the menu won't work.)
Then it will allow me to scroll.
