I have 200 pages in a tab. Want to close all with a button or action. Now I have to close each page with the X button and takes forever.
Close all tabs button
- Edited
Regardless of your tab display mode, you can always close all your tabs by long pressing the tab view button:
Looks like the grid view doesn't have a more obvious way of doing this. I believe that could be improved. If you use the tab sidebar view (Settings
-> Tabs
-> Sidebar
), you can also close all your tabs on mobile with the Close All
button located in the top right corner of the sidebar.
How would you improve the experience on the grid view mode?
On mobile, I've removed the tab counter button from the toolbar. Why? Makes no sense to have it there given there are default gestures for the same action. Less buttons = less clutter.
Only it turns out that it's impossible to close all the tabs in the default group via any other way. Tab group context menu doesn't have anything related. Neither does holding the tab help. On ipados you can at least do the same long tapping tabs on the top.
expected to have other ways to close all the tabs.

There's a close all tabs button in tab list view.
The grid view currently doesn't have one, I have flagged this discussion as a duplicate of a similar suggestion.
In the tabs overview in Orion in iOS there seems to be no way to close all open tabs at once. In safari I am used to long tap on the «x» and choose «close all other tabs» from a contexts menu.
