When visiting several websites that require interaction on the page, most websites aside from those where I can just have a video running in the background. the page reloads constantly. At times it happens every minute or so but at other times it refreshes the screen near constantly.

To replicate I would say just go to a web-page and see if it happens for you. I'm running an m3 Mac air from 2024. The issue does not happen on Safari.

This issue did not start until the most recent update!

would like the browser to not refresh the page on its own. makes work very difficult.

With the recent update, I cannot use drive.google.com from Orion at all. It just constantly reloads pages and this process makes the app unresponsive, i.e. I cannot even close it (have to kill it from Force Quit Applications). Attaching a few videos.

It affects not only google.com, I saw this extremely annoying behaviour on a few other websites as well.

This problem is not new; all previous versions suffered from it more or less. At some point, disabling Sync could help but not any more. I also tried Compatibility mode (extensions disabled, etc), resetting cookies, logging out of Google and logging in again — nothing helps. Orion Version 0.99.132-beta is the worst so far.

Also, I'm getting a lot of crashes (like many crashes per day) since a couple of last betas. I send all of them to Orion Devs, so I guess they should have a ton from me already.

Also note that ALL profiles are equally affected. Same problem with Google in all of them.

I expect websites to just work as they work in other browsers, nothing more.

Orion per se is an EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT idea, I love a lot about it but constant crashes and website reloads just make it barely usable. Unfortunately, I have to switch back to Safari until Orion becomes a stable product.

I tried to create a Clean profile and there I don't have any reload issues so far. But if I create a new profile using the existing one as a template, I immediately start getting some weird errors with Google. E.g. unable to log in with the following error:

So it seems it has something to do with profile storage... And something tells me that if I start using the newly created Clean profile actively as I use the Default one, I will get the same set of issues over time.

Merged 2 posts from Constant crashes, page reloads, google services are unusable.

I am at the login page (in this caseL Humana Insurance).

After entering my username and password, I am taken to a second to enter a OTP that is texted to me. Before I can enter that OTP, the page refreshes back to the previous login page. This cycle repeats over and over.

The result is that I cannot log into Humana's site because I am never given an opportunity to enter my OTP.

This website functions correctly on Arc and Safari.

I expect the 2nd web page, that is asking for me to type my 6-digit OTP that was texted to me, remain visible for me to enter it and allow me access to the web site. Currently it automatically returns to the previous login page, as if somebody had magically pressed the BACK button.

I am closing the ticket, but you can always reopen it if needed.
              Thanks.

@Yannick I recorded an example of the screen in a seemingly endless loop: I answer "No" and the screen refreshes back to the same question. Let me know if you want more detail on this,

Meanwhile, we've received several similar reports of constant refresh 👍 Thanks 🙂
