Following problem:
Currently, iPadOS and iOS lack the ability to annotate directly inside a browser due to technical constraints. However, Orion’s browser can bridge this gap implementing in-browser annotations across iOS and macOS.
Glasp is a known competitor in the space and offers an intuitive highlighting extension on Safari and Chrome.
I am asking for bookmarks and annotations to be collectible, searchable, displayable, importable and exportable.
The following features are appreciated:
- Annotating across pdfs, websites and youtube transcripts
- Adding notes to highlights
- Importing highlights from Kindle, Pocket, Instapaper, Medium, Readwise, Hypothesis and Readest
- Syncing books, collections and reading status with Hardcover
- Importing movies / series
- Keeping track of reading / watch progress through integrations (Hardcover)
- Exporting to Notion, Obsidian and Readwise
- Summarizing pages and saving those summaries
- Kagi AI having access to your personalized knowledge hub out of your annotations
- Social feed similar to Glasp where users can discuss their learnings and share them publicly under their profile and in a social feed
- Auto Tags of those annotations and bookmarks
- Bookmarks syncable with linkwarden
In addition Kagi’s search can make those annotations and bookmarks findable for every Kagi user.
This would allows users to annotate freely and create a new monitizable revenue stream for Kagi.
